Forest, London’s homegrown e-bike operator, has today announced the launch of ForestFlex, a pilot subscription model designed to offer riders greater flexibility when travelling across the capital.
Priced at £6.99 a month, ForestFlex gives riders access to 10-minute rides for £1 and up to 30 minutes of riding for £1.70, with any additional time beyond 30 minutes charged at Forest’s standard pay-as-you-go rate of £0.33 per minute.
The new subscription model will run in Beta mode over the next month so that Forest can assess rider behaviour and optimise the offer based on user feedback.

ForestFlex has been introduced in response to growing demand for more flexible and cost-effective ways to navigate London.
The announcement follows a surge in demand for Forest bikes driven by the warmer weather. Last month, as temperatures reached 26 degrees in London, Forest experienced its busiest day of the year so far, with a 30% increase in rides during peak commuting hours, compared to the previous week.
Last week, Forest announced it has secured a further £27 million as part of its Series B funding, taking the total to £40 million, to support the continued expansion of its operations as it scales across London.
Agustin Guilisasti, Founder and CEO of Forest, said: “Our goal has always been to empower Londoners to move around the city in ways that are more accessible and sustainable – while doing so responsibly and in partnership with local communities. With ForestFlex, we are introducing another level of flexibility for riders as demand continues to grow across London. Launching this in Beta mode also means we can listen closely to rider feedback and shape the offer around how people are actually using the service – particularly as we head into a busy period for the city.”
