Beryl, has released a new report highlighting its contribution to behavioural change, sustainable operation and changing lives.
Released today, October 11, the inaugural Beryl Impact Report 2023 outlines the measures taken by the company to ensure sustainability remains central to everything it does.
The report shows the importance of people and places, with the company working to champion gender equality and diversity.
Beryl currently has a gender split of one third female, its pay gap is positive towards women by 20% and 25% of all female employees are involved in company-wide decision making.
A B Corp company, Beryl is committed to reducing its own greenhouse gas emissions and does so through various projects and operational procedures.
The company runs 71.52% of its operations on low-impact renewable energy, also reducing gas usage by 89.46%, sourcing biogas to replace where gas is still required.
Beryl’s influence on behaviour change is also captured, particularly the support of a circular economy and promotion of a “hire and share” model over a “buy and own” one. The more that Beryl encourages shared transport use, the more its drives circular behaviour in the transport sector and society.

“More than that though, it also shows how we value people and places and really believe in the power of sustainable transport to improve lives.
“Publishing this report also demonstrates transparency and accountability, which is vital for us in our mission to encourage people to adopt cleaner, greener transport habits.”.
In June 2023, Beryl achieved the ISO 14001 environmental management standard, an internationally agreed and recognised standard for Environmental Management Systems (EMS), used by organisations to help identify, manage, monitor and control environmental processes.

In October 2022, the company’s near term sustainability targets were validated by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi); the recognised global network for ambitious corporate climate action and leading the transition to a net-zero economy.
In 2022, Beryl were also recertified as a B Corp registered company for another three years, recognising how the company continues to meet standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency.
