Pure Electric has launched its second own-brand e-scooter.
The Pure Air is designed to offer premium e-scooter features at a significantly lower price point and is available for £399.
The new ride, which weighs in at 16.5kg, is powered by a 250W brushless rear wheel and possesses IP65 water resistance. According to Pure, it is capable of carrying loads of up to 120kg.
“The integrated display gives a live readout of essential data to the rider, and the rider can cycle between three power settings to customise their Pure Air’s power output,” read a Pure Electric statement. “The replaceable premium 187Wh Panasonic battery unit can deliver up to 30km of range with each full charge: perfect for everyday use.
“Braking is handled by an anti-lock electromagnetic rear brake that works with the motor to produce consistent and controllable stopping force, while the mechanical front drum brake gives predictable braking modulation.”
According to Pure, the Air’s large, 10in wheels help it to roll over poorer surfaces “with ease”. The tubes are pre-installed with puncture prevention fluid for instant sealing in the event of a puncture.
