Cityshuttle has launched the ePack4, an e-cargo bike aimed squarely at being the ultimate last-mile delivery solution.
UK-designed and manufactured, the ePack4 claims to be the world’s largest last-mile delivery cargo bike, offering double the industry standard load space, with a 4m3 footprint and a 350kg payload.
Founded in 2018, Cityshuttle aims to revolutionise urban mobility and provide sustainable last-mile logistics which operate emissions-free.
Cityshuttle founder Keith Jones comments: “My vision was always for Cityshuttle to design and develop a range of sustainable, green, urban transport solutions. Working with innovative designers, my ambition to bring these products to fruition is now a reality.”
Business efficient, designed for mileage, trackable for fleet management
- ePack4 runs a clever fly-by-wire drivetrain eliminating common failures with chains, sprockets and gears – less maintenance. ePack4 uses the largest hydraulic disc brakes in the industry, this cargo bike is a truly reliable workhorse.
- Built to efficiently navigate urban landscapes and enable customers to make more deliveries in a shorter amount of time via their ability to access cycle lanes and safely navigate pedestrianised spaces.
- Fitted with GPS tracking, remote fleet management and live CCTV, offering data to fleet managers through its private portal login.
In sharing news of the ePack4 launch a spokesperson for the business notes: “Cityshuttle ePack4 launch has already generated interest among logistics operators in the UK and Europe. The focus now is to work with our funding partners and take Cityshuttle to large-scale volume to service both the UK and European markets.”
Custom trailer options for maximum adaptability
Unique trailer options mean that operators can have a flexible solution for their business, e.g. box trailer, refrigerated, flat bed, tipper or 2m3 option. Trailer swap can be achieved in under 2 minutes. ePack 4 is also reportedly the only cargo bike which offers digital out-of-home advertising whilst out on daily operations.
Jones further comments: “We are thrilled to introduce the ePack4, the world’s largest last-mile cargo delivery bike (and) are looking to become the go-to manufacturer for last-mile logistics.
“Whether it’s cargo, refrigerated, local authorities, we have a flexible solution for all – green in colour, green by nature”
“We have a low centre of gravity allowing for operators to wheel stillages in and out with ease. We are currently in the process of designing bespoke stillages to fit the ePack4”
ePack4 is now available for business lease, with the business also exploring partnerships with other operators and organisations, to further expand its reach.
