Lime partners with BHN to offer first Lime annual Cycle to Work subscription

UK employees can now access shared e-bikes through Cyclescheme, thanks to a new partnership between BHN Extras and Lime. The partnership  gives employees a more affordable way to commute by e-bike, with eligible workers able to save between 28% and 47% on an annual Lime subscription through Cyclescheme.

The partnership brings Lime’s e-bikes to Cyclescheme range of Cycle to Work benefits, enabling employees to pay for an annual subscription through salary sacrifice.

The Lime Annual Subscription with a 500 minute monthly allowance costs £635/year (£52.92/month) before the tax break. Post tax break (including income tax and national insurance savings) employees pay:

• £38.10/month (28% savings) for Basic rate tax payers (<£50,270)

• £30.69/month (42% savings) for Higher rate tax payers (£50,271-£125,140)

• £28.05/month (47% savings) for Additional rate tax payers (>£125,140)

Employers can also save up to 15% on National Insurance contributions through salary sacrifice.

The launch comes as commuting costs continue to put pressure on household budgets, with the latest ONS figures showing transport prices were 5.7% higher in June 2026 than a year earlier. At the same time, workers are rethinking how they make those journeys, with recent BHN Extras research finding that one-third (33%) of UK employees are considering cycling as part of their commute.

Access could help turn that interest into action, with 44% saying access to an e-bike would encourage them to cycle more. The partnership gives employees a more affordable and flexible way to do so, whether using Lime for their full commute or alongside other forms of transport.

The UK-wide benefit applies to all Lime locations with e-bikes across the country, including London, Milton Keynes, Oxford, the West Midlands, and Nottingham.
