Wind expands in Italy with Reggio Emilia launch

Wind is further expanding in Italy, offering its service in Reggio Emilia with the of launch 300 shared e-scooters.

“We are happy to finally bring our Wind e-scooters to Reggio Emilia,” said Saverio Galardi, country manager Italy. “Wind is already rooted in Emilia, in fact, we have been operating in Modena and Parma since September 2020, and we want to continue investing in this region.

“We welcome the cooperation with the city administration that has been committed to creating an alternative mobility solution for its citizens.

“We are excited to offer our service in Reggio Emilia, the Italian city with the most cycle paths per inhabitant. We will launch our flagship model e-scooter, the Wind 3.0 that has been fully developed in-house.”

Wind is offering its service at a rate of €0 unlocking fee and €0.18 per minute. The service is available by downloading the Wind Mobility app from the Android or iOS app stores. The software on each scooter will prevent it from being used outside the operating area and will limit parking and speed in certain areas of the city.
