Neuron e-scooters set to arrive in Sunderland

Neuron’s e-scooters are set to arrive in Sunderland next month, following the company’s recent launch in Newcastle.

The trial will see 300 e-scooters deployed over the 12-month trial period with 100 from late March. Neuron said it looking forward to partnering with Sunderland City Council to deliver a safe, socially-distanced and environmentally-friendly service.

The company’s N3 e-scooters are fitted with a range of safety features, including an app-controlled helmet lock, topple detection, a 999 emergency button, voice guidance, a ‘Follow my Ride’ function and the use of geofencing technology.

Each e-scooter will be fitted with a unique license plate for easy identification. Neuron said it will also be launching a range of smart parking initiatives to control and promote safe parking.
