Micro ranked fifth most innovative company in Europe

Micro has been named the fifth most innovative business in Europe by Fast Company.

The scooter company were acknowledged at the World’s Most Innovative Companies Awards 2020, which has previously hosted winners such as Apple, Novartis and Patagonia.

“As a small Swiss family-owned company, it’s a great honour for us to be featured in the list among so many inspiring and innovative companies,” said founder Wim Ouboter.

Micro was featured due to its “innovative approach to sustainable urban mobility solutions”. This year, Micro has introduced two new e-scooters: the Micro Commuter, an ‘ultra-compact’ e-scooter powered by a swappable powerbank, that can also charge a smartphone, and the Micro Explorer, an e-scooter specifically designed for longevity and everyday heavy-duty private use.

The company also presented the second generation of the electric city car Microlino at the beginning of March with a new design and improved performance. In addition, Micro debuted the Microletta, an electric tricycle with ‘retro charm’.
