Job description Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as a Store Manager for our electric bike shop. As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of daily operations, ensuring excellent customer service, managing inventory, supervising staff, driving sales growth, and managing the service department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cycling, strong leadership skills, and a track record of success in a retail environment. Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Manage, train, and motivate the sales team to deliver exceptional customer service, achieve KPI’s, and oversee the service department. Provide ongoing coaching and development to staff members to enhance their product knowledge, sales skills, and service expertise. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, accountability, and seamless integration between sales and service departments. Customer Service Excellence: Lead by example in delivering outstanding customer service and resolving any customer inquiries or issues in a timely and professional manner. Maintain a customer-centric approach by actively engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and providing expert advice on products, services, and bike maintenance. Implement strategies to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty, in pursuit of repeat business and positive word-of-mouth referrals. Brand Ambassadorship: Act as a passionate advocate for Ecomove's brand values, promoting sustainability, quality, and innovation. Engage customers to communicate the unique benefits of Ecomove products and services. Collaborate with marketing teams to reinforce Ecomove's brand identity through campaigns, partnerships, and service promotions. Provide valuable insights on customer preferences and market trends to support strategic decision-making. Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with suppliers to ensure adequate stock levels of bikes, accessories, spare parts, and service equipment. Implement effective merchandising techniques to optimize product visibility and maximize sales opportunities for both products and services. Conduct regular stock audits and manage inventory replenishment to minimize stockouts and overstock situations. Manage communications with suppliers and maintain good working relationships with brands. Sales and Revenue Generation: Develop and execute sales strategies to drive revenue growth and achieve sales targets across both product sales and service offerings. Analyze sales data and identify opportunities for product expansion, cross-selling, and service enhancements. Monitor competitors' activities and market conditions to stay ahead in the industry and capitalize on emerging trends. Work with the marketing team to ensure that marketing initiatives align with customer preferences and market dynamics, optimizing effectiveness and driving sales growth. Operational Efficiency: Oversee store and workshop operations to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety standards. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, including displays, workspaces, and storage areas for both products and service equipment. Work alongside the finance department to manage tasks such as scheduling, payroll, and budgeting to optimize efficiency and profitability across all departments. Bank Holidays) Requirements: Proven experience as a retail manager, preferably in a bike shop or related industry. Passion for cycling and strong knowledge of bikes, accessories, and cycling gear. Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team. Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on building long-term relationships with customers. Strong sales acumen and the ability to drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies. Proficiency in inventory management, including stock control and replenishment. Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems and basic computer proficiency (preferred). Flexibility to work weekends.
