ConnectBike is a scale-up, active in supplying the Giant delivery E-bike  and the accompanying service, maintenance and financing of these  bikes. Our ambition is to become the best and most relevant supplier of  delivery E-bikes in Western Europe. ConnectBike distinguishes itself  from its competition by focusing on high-quality service and  maintenance. ConnectBike already operates in the Netherlands,  Belgium, the UK and Switzerland, with the expansion into multiple other  European countries on the horizon. In addition to international  customers such as Just Eat Takeaway.com , Domino’s Pizza and Papa  Johns Pizza, we also serve national food chains such as De Beren and  Taco Mundo. ConnectBike will furthermore focus on developing bicycle  concepts that solve mobility issues in other market segments. Besides 

transporting food products, transporting other types of products and  people is part of our business plan. 

Do you want to get cracking on creating a better world together with the  ConnectBike team? Are you ambitious, and do you enjoy thinking  outside of the box and showing initiative? We are looking for a Mobile  Bicycle & Service Technician to join our UK team in London! 

The role of Mobile Bike & Service Technician: 

  • Preparation of E-bikes for use, delivery of E-bikes and carrying out full service and repair work at customer locations.
  • Engage in the complete life cycle of our E-bikes, from preparation to delivery.
  • Perform comprehensive service and repairs at our London Service Centre, Distribution Centre and various customer locations. Travel to our customer locations anywhere across the UK ranging  from Manchester to Brighton, all via our fleet of company vehicles.  • Independently diagnosing repairs. 
  • Supporting colleagues and customers with regard to service, repairs and sales processes.
  • Correct and consistent recording of each repair and service in our system, and timely contact with customers about the progress of repairs if necessary 
  • Identifying and passing on additional customer needs and buying signals to existing customers.
  • The capacity to solve problems and consider issues from another perspective (out of the box thinking).
  • Engage in exciting, diverse projects and initiatives.

Job requirements  

What we require 

  • Minimum of intermediate vocational education (obtained through training and/or work experience), a good sense of service.
  • Training and/or experience as a bicycle technician is an advantage.
  • Team player: understands what is important for other disciplines and acts accordingly.
  • Ability to be very active – bend, stoop, and lift up to 35kg on a frequent basis. 
  • Respond to various tasks/repairs as they are assigned while meeting daily repair targets and SLAs to keep our full fleet functioning. 
  • Good knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Words, etc.).
  • Willingness to work – on weekends and to travel (inter)nationally for your work. (working either Saturday or Sunday is essential for this role) 
  • A valid Drivers License is Essential for this role (no more than 6 points on your license)

This is a full-time position for 40 hours a week. The salary indication is  around £26,000 – 30,000 per annum. Salary grading is based on  education, experience and proven competencies.
