We have lots more exiting projects coming on board which has led to this newly created role, and the search for an experienced, highly motivated Head of Marketing, that wants to be a part of an exciting journey with us who is not afraid to get stuck in. Role summary Reporting to the Operations Director manage all day-to-day estates matters encompassing H&S, fire safety, utilities, building improvements and liaison with landlords and contractors. Role is remote with 1-2 days per week visiting nationally dispersed stores. Responsibilities To lead the facilities management function across all of our retail sites. Ensure all sites meet health and safety and fire safety standards. Design, implementation and running of proportionate safety management systems and auditing regimes. SME input into the planning and preparation of new retail sites. Planning and coordination of all training to meet regulatory requirements. Coordinating refurbishments and building improvements.Liai sing with external service providers and contractors. Review utilities consumption and strive to minimise costs. Support line managers and site custodians to embed a safety mindset at every level of the business. Prepare reports and briefing material for consideration at senior/executive level. Providing advice on energy efficiency Managing the budgets and accounts for utilities and services. Negotiation skills for negotiating contracts and for managing projects Sound problem-solving skills and a willingness to be available after-hours when required Requirements and skills Essential Proven experience as a facilities manager or well-versed in the fundamentals of health and safety, fire safety and building security gained through experience in related fields. Excellent communicator and strong team player. Highly organised and comfortable working independently on own initiative. Strong business acumen, clear thinking with strong analytical instincts. Desirable Possesses or actively working towards a relevant professional qualification in H&S such as IOSH, NEBOSH or equivalent. Exposure to the principles of occupational health.
