Events and Community Coordinator – Canyon Bicycles UK and IE Location – Leatherhead, Surrey UK Job Description: As the Events & Community Coordinator for Canyon UK & Ireland, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a dynamic annual programme of events that align with Canyon’s brand values and engage our target audiences. Working closely with the wider Canyon team, you will plan, organise, and execute events that showcase Canyon’s world-class bikes and strengthen our presence within the UK and Irish cycling communities. Collaboration with brand ambassadors, partners, and key stakeholders will be central to ensuring each event reflects Canyon’s commitment to innovation, performance, and community. Key Responsibilities Lead the planning and delivery of the UK & Ireland events calendar in alignment with wider market and brand priorities. Execute a range of events — from regular community rides and activations to top-tier market events included in the global Canyon events calendar. Manage the full event lifecycle, from concept development through to on-site execution and post-event evaluation, under the guidance of the Head of Sales & Marketing. Oversee event budgets, ensuring all activities are delivered within allocated resources and demonstrate strong return on investment. Coordinate event staffing, including scheduling and management of on-site personnel and ambassadors. Plan, maintain, and manage the marketing bike fleet used across UK & Ireland events, ensuring readiness and alignment with product priorities. Collaborate with Canyon ambassadors and partners to support community engagement, strengthen local relationships, and enhance brand visibility. Contribute to the general marketing coordination, planning and administration functions in collaboration with UK and Global Marketing teams. Candidate requirements: Passion for cycling and outdoor events — genuine interest in the sport and understanding of the cycling community, culture, and current trends. Strong technical knowledge of bicycles with an ability to setup to ride, tools in hand. Strong organisational and planning skills — able to manage multiple projects, schedules, and logistics simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Excellent communication skills — confident in liaising with event organisers, suppliers, athletes, international colleagues and presenting results. Problem-solving ability — quick to assess challenges on the ground and implement practical, safe, and efficient solutions. Financial acumen — able to manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective event delivery. Digital competence — proficient with event management software, CRM tools, registration platforms, and social media for event promotion and communication. Full driving licence — required for travel to event sites and meetings. This is hybrid role, flexible in its nature but primarily office based from our Surrey UK HQ.
